Rooftop solar in Pune

Rooftop solar for industries in Pune

Pune's industrial belt runs on daytime power: machine shops, auto component plants, pharma units and warehouses. That is exactly when solar generates. We design, install, approve and maintain rooftop solar across Pune district, on CapEx or with zero upfront investment.

  • ₹0 upfront with RESCO
  • Owned after 72 months*
  • ALMM-listed modules
  • Net metering handled

*Ownership transfer and its timing depend on the RESCO agreement; conditions apply.

FAQ

Rooftop solar in Pune: common questions

Who approves rooftop solar in Pune?

Industrial and commercial sites in Pune are supplied by MSEDCL (Mahavitaran). We handle the MSEDCL application, net metering or net billing, and the electrical inspection for you, end to end.

How long does a rooftop solar project take?

Typically 6 to 12 weeks from signed agreement to commissioning for a mid-sized plant, depending on approvals and roof readiness.

Can you install on a leased shed in Chakan?

Yes, with the owner's consent. RESCO works well here, since there is no capital tied to a building you do not own.

How can rooftop solar be zero investment?

Under our RESCO model, Vividh Ventures funds 100% of the plant: engineering, equipment, approvals, installation and commissioning. You sign a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and pay only for the solar units your premises consume, at a per-unit rate lower than your current grid tariff. If the plant does not generate, you do not pay for those units.

What is the difference between CapEx and RESCO solar?

With CapEx you buy the plant upfront, own it from day one, keep all the savings and can claim accelerated depreciation where eligible. With RESCO you invest nothing, we own and maintain the plant, and you buy its power at a discounted tariff. Many businesses with strong cash flow and tax capacity choose CapEx; those who want to protect working capital choose RESCO.

Is there a government subsidy for commercial rooftop solar in Maharashtra?

Generally, no. The central PM Surya Ghar subsidy is meant for homes, so factories, warehouses, shops, offices and other commercial premises are not eligible. Businesses benefit in other ways: eligible companies can claim accelerated depreciation on the plant, the savings start from the first month, and with our RESCO model there is no capital cost at all. Housing societies may qualify for central support on solar for common areas, and we check your eligibility as part of the feasibility report.
