Process
How commercial rooftop solar works, from bill to plant
A clear, engineer-led process with every approval handled for you. Here is what happens at each step, whichever model you choose.
- ₹0 upfront with RESCO
- Owned after 72 months*
- ALMM-listed modules
- Net metering handled
*Ownership transfer and its timing depend on the RESCO agreement; conditions apply.
- 1
Share your bill and location
Send a recent electricity bill, your address or location pin, and roof photos if you have them. That is all we need to start.
- 2
Remote feasibility report
Our engineers use satellite imagery, your load profile and local solar data to prepare a preliminary layout, plant size and savings estimate.
- 3
Site survey
An engineer visits to check the roof structure, shading, electrical room and cable routes, and confirms the design.
- 4
Proposal and agreement
You receive a detailed proposal for CapEx, RESCO or both. Once you choose, we sign an EPC contract or a Power Purchase Agreement.
- 5
Approvals
We apply for net metering or gross metering with your distribution company (MSEDCL, Tata Power, Adani Electricity or BEST) and handle the electrical inspection.
- 6
Installation
Mounting structures, modules, inverters and cabling are installed by our team with safety supervision, planned around your operations.
- 7
Commissioning and handover
We test the plant, the DISCOM installs the net meter, and you receive your monitoring login and handover documents.
- 8
Monitoring and maintenance
We track generation every day, clean and service the plant on schedule, and respond fast to any fault.
FAQ
Approvals, weather and practicalities
What happens during the monsoon or on cloudy days?
The plant works alongside your existing connection from MSEDCL, Tata Power, Adani Electricity or BEST. When solar output drops, your premises draw from the grid automatically with no downtime. Annual savings already account for Mumbai and Maharashtra monsoon conditions.
Which properties are a good fit?
Factories and MIDC units, warehouses and logistics parks, schools, colleges, hospitals, housing societies, malls, large showrooms and office buildings with a strong, shadow-free roof and high daytime electricity use. A monthly bill above about ₹50,000 is usually a good starting point.
Do you handle net metering and approvals?
Yes. We manage the full approval process, including the net metering or gross metering application with your distribution company, the electrical inspection, and the use of ALMM-listed modules where the rules require them.
What do I need to share for a free feasibility assessment?
Your property location, a recent electricity bill, and roof photos or a drone image if you have one. Our engineers prepare a preliminary layout, plant size and savings estimate, then confirm it with a site visit.
Is there a government subsidy for commercial rooftop solar in Maharashtra?
Generally, no. The central PM Surya Ghar subsidy is meant for homes, so factories, warehouses, shops, offices and other commercial premises are not eligible. Businesses benefit in other ways: eligible companies can claim accelerated depreciation on the plant, the savings start from the first month, and with our RESCO model there is no capital cost at all. Housing societies may qualify for central support on solar for common areas, and we check your eligibility as part of the feasibility report.
