FAQ
CapEx questions, answered
What does a CapEx rooftop solar project include?
Site survey, structural check, design, ALMM-listed modules and inverters, mounting structure, installation, net metering approvals, commissioning, monitoring setup and handover documentation. Maintenance is offered as an annual contract.
What is the typical payback period?
For commercial and industrial rooftops in Maharashtra, payback is typically 3 to 5 years depending on your tariff, consumption pattern and plant size. Your proposal includes a project-specific payback and 25-year savings estimate.
Can I claim tax benefits?
Eligible businesses can usually claim accelerated depreciation on solar assets under the Income Tax Act. Please confirm the applicable rate and eligibility with your chartered accountant.
What happens during the monsoon or on cloudy days?
The plant works alongside your existing connection from MSEDCL, Tata Power, Adani Electricity or BEST. When solar output drops, your premises draw from the grid automatically with no downtime. Annual savings already account for Mumbai and Maharashtra monsoon conditions.
Do you handle net metering and approvals?
Yes. We manage the full approval process, including the net metering or gross metering application with your distribution company, the electrical inspection, and the use of ALMM-listed modules where the rules require them.
Is there a government subsidy for commercial rooftop solar in Maharashtra?
Generally, no. The central PM Surya Ghar subsidy is meant for homes, so factories, warehouses, shops, offices and other commercial premises are not eligible. Businesses benefit in other ways: eligible companies can claim accelerated depreciation on the plant, the savings start from the first month, and with our RESCO model there is no capital cost at all. Housing societies may qualify for central support on solar for common areas, and we check your eligibility as part of the feasibility report.
