Zero-investment solar
RESCO solar: zero-investment rooftop solar for businesses
Under our Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model, Vividh Ventures funds, builds, owns and maintains the solar plant on your roof. You simply buy the power it generates, at a per-unit rate below your grid tariff. The same model is also called solar OPEX or a solar power purchase agreement (PPA).
- ₹0 upfront with RESCO
- Owned after 72 months*
- ALMM-listed modules
- Net metering handled
*Ownership transfer and its timing depend on the RESCO agreement; conditions apply.
How RESCO works
You provide the roof. We provide everything else.
- 1
Feasibility and proposal
We study your roof and bills, size the plant and offer a per-unit tariff below your current grid rate.
- 2
Power Purchase Agreement
You sign a PPA that fixes the tariff and term. The standard term is 72 months; longer terms are available for larger capacities.
- 3
We build at our cost
Engineering, ALMM-listed equipment, approvals, installation and net metering, all funded by us.
- 4
You pay per unit consumed
Each month you pay only for the solar units used. If the plant does not generate, you do not pay for those units.
- 5
Free ownership transfer
At the end of the standard 72-month term, the plant is transferred to you at no cost and its power becomes free.

Benefits
Why businesses and institutions choose RESCO
₹0 capital expenditure
Keep working capital and credit lines free for your core business.
Savings from month one
Every solar unit costs less than the grid unit it replaces.
Zero maintenance burden
Cleaning, monitoring and repairs of the plant are all on us.
Performance risk on us
You pay for units generated. If output falls, so does your payment.
Predictable energy cost
The PPA fixes your solar tariff for the term, shielding you from grid tariff hikes.
You end up owning it
Free transfer after the standard 72-month term, with many years of generation left.
RESCO is a strong fit if you
- Spend ₹50,000 or more a month on electricity
- Use most of your power in daylight hours
- Own the building or hold a long lease
- Have 2,000 sq ft or more of shadow-free roof
- Prefer to keep capital for your core business
Consider CapEx instead if you
- Have surplus capital or low-cost finance available
- Can use accelerated depreciation against profits
- Want the highest possible savings over 25 years
- Prefer to own the asset from day one
FAQ
RESCO questions, answered
How can rooftop solar be zero investment?
Under our RESCO model, Vividh Ventures funds 100% of the plant: engineering, equipment, approvals, installation and commissioning. You sign a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and pay only for the solar units your premises consume, at a per-unit rate lower than your current grid tariff. If the plant does not generate, you do not pay for those units.
How long is the RESCO agreement, and what happens at the end?
Our standard term is 72 months, after which ownership of the plant is transferred to you free of cost and the power it generates is yours. Longer terms are available for larger capacities or specific deal structures. A well-maintained plant typically keeps generating for 25 years, so you benefit for many years after transfer.
Who handles cleaning, maintenance and repairs?
Under RESCO, we handle 100% of cleaning, monitoring, maintenance and repairs for the full agreement period at no cost to you. For CapEx projects we offer an annual maintenance contract with remote monitoring, scheduled cleaning and performance reports.
Is the per-unit tariff fixed?
The tariff is agreed upfront in the PPA and is set below your current grid rate, so you save from the first month. The exact rate and any escalation are written into your agreement before installation.
What if I need to expand or repair my roof during the agreement?
The PPA includes clauses for roof repairs, shed expansion and structural changes. We plan the work with you so the plant can be shifted or extended with minimal disruption.
